John Pearse, an English studio musician, began researching guitar string manufacturing in the mid-sixties. In collaboration with a London-based string maker, he developed a string that had a longer lifespan and more accurate vibrating and nodal pattern. His success led to his name being used by both British Music Strings and Thomastik. In the 1980s, John and his partner, Mary Faith, launched a line of high-quality strings specifically designed for professional musicians. The demand for these strings quickly spread nationwide, and they were eventually made available in stores. The popularity of these strings continues to grow, and they are highly sought after by both musicians and retailers.
