Experience a "played-in" tone with Elixir Strings' 80/20 Bronze Acoustic Strings featuring POLYWEB Coating. Enjoy reduced finger squeak and a smooth, responsive feel while the special coating prevents corrosion and buildup. These long-lasting strings also resist tone-deadening corrosion, providing a clean feel every time you strum!

Who Are Elixir Strings?

Elixir Strings started in 1997, when a research team was using coated guitar strings as test subjects in the development of a better push-pull cable. A group of guitarists among them decided to try and create a coating that would protect the strings but still sound great. After much experimentation, testing, and feedback from working players in the field, three coatings for acoustic, electric and bass guitars were created - POLYWEB®, ultra-thin NANOWEB®, and barely-there OPTIWEB®. Though they all produce different tones, they all work toward the same goal - to protect the strings and gaps between windings from gunk and corrosion, allowing for longer playing time without compromising tone or feel. This means less string sets and changes are needed. With Elixir, spend less time fretting about your guitar strings, and more time just simply fretting them to play!
