Augustine Strings were developed in the 1940s by Albert Augustine, a Danish immigrant, guitar enthusiast, and publisher, in collaboration with virtuoso classical guitarist Andrés Segovia. Augustine's strings, made from a new innovative nylon material and refined through discussions with Segovia, were used in the virtuoso's concerts worldwide and have become highly sought after by guitarists for their durability and brilliant sound.
