N2 The New Age

N2 The New Age

.strandberg*

If there is one company out there that isn't afraid to take a leap, hands down it's .strandberg*. Since their beginning in 2012, they have reimagined what it means to build a guitar. And a good one at that. From the uniquely asymmetrical shaped lightweight body, to the headless neck they have. They have patented their signature EndurNeck profile which features more a trapezoidal neck as opposed to the traditional "C" shaped neck. And this fall they have gone the extra mile to roll out the all new Boden N2 Series.

With the new additions, comes options and customizations to each. For the release of the Boden N2, .strandberg* has two variations of the newly released Boden N2. There is the Standard series which holds the classic design with a reimagined look on the pickup and introducing an all new color. And then there is the newly released model which is the Orginal series that features new pickups and new colors. We'll be deep diving into what both of these new models have to offer!

Orginal N2 Series

As we enter in the last quarter of the year, .strandberg* decided to spice things up just in time for the holiday season. And with that, the new Original N2 is just in time to scratch that itch. They have had their patented EndurNeck profile and have added a titanium-reinforced rod that increases stability, durability, and a more livelier acoustic resonance.

The new Original N2 keeps the signature Boden body style which promotes their motto of having the most ergonomic guitar profile. The new Original N2 has just that and makes it even lighter with the all new Curved and Chambered body to its repertoire that allows for extra lightweight. With the new curved-top body designed to enhance picking hand and lower arm playing comfort as it follows the curvature of the strings.

The most impressive and new feature that the Original N2 has to offer is the .strandberg* POWR:D by Fishman pickups. Custom-developed, and American-made specifically for the company by Fishman to enhance the sound and tone for their new model and offers triple voicings to give it an open, rich, and resonant tone. The POWR:D by Fishman allows for the pickups to offer a wide range to be able to play a pristine clean to saturated hi gain with ease.

"The pickups sound great! Volume all the way up was hot and then cleaned up nice and low. Effortless. The neck pickup was probably my favorite part, and I'm always a big fan of sweet sounding neck pickups. Playability and feel felt amazing but the tone is what swept me away." -Joe Gavin (Manager, Guitar Enthusiast)

Standard N2 Series

If you're not familiar with the signature Boden style guitar that .strandberg* has famously created - the Standard N2 has evolved and built upon what was already great. Like the Original N2 series, the Standard N2 also comes with the patented EndurNeck profile with titanium-reinforced neck. But one thing that the Standard N2 series that separates it from its sister model is they have introduced the new roasted maple neck that gives it a darker look.

The body shape still exudes signature style, and adds the curved solid body. While it is also on the Original N2 as well, they have offered a solid Basswood body. This body, paired with the new roasted maple neck, allows the guitar to deliver new warmth and depth in the tone.

And last but certainly not least, the new addition on the Standard N2 are the all new Seymour Duncan Sentient/Pegasus humbuckers. These new pickups allow the player to get just the right balance of dynamics and force. The pickups are clear and defined, yet full and commanding.

Ready to Rock

These guitars have been around since 2012 and with the release of the N2, .strandberg* has reinvented themselves. As guitar playing evolves, their motto of keeping up with the playing, .strandberg* has evolved with its players. Almost all of our employees have played one of these guitars, and a select few have played the N2 series. We can confidently say that we have enjoyed and loved the way these feel, and more importantly, sounded. We are confident our customers are going to love it as well.
